Win Win Win - our fundamental business equation
We're all familiar with the "win win" concept used throughout the world to characterize an ideal opportunity with its focus on both the buyer and the seller. This is always an exercise in give and take, and in the end, a degree of trust between people. We believe employee focus must also be brought into this equation. Protegra recognizes that when we align employee aspirations with Protegra's strategy, we go beyond ideal opportunity, to optimized execution. We believe that, if we relentlessly focus on the customer, and focus on employees, stability and growth will follow for Protegra. In the end, it's all about people. "Client Focus" and "Employee Focus" - we probably say these words a hundred times a day. Balancing the "win win win equation" to create success for Protegra is what drives our business.

Codified Culture - how we deliver
“Codified Culture” is the methodology we have developed to ensure that our values are understood and practised. We believe it's not enough to state your values in employee handbooks, even if you also put them into your marketing brochures! All areas of the company have collaboratively developed written Principles and Practices by role. These practices clearly specify expected behaviour, and form a kind of contract with ourselves as professionals, with our clients, and between the employee and Protegra. By integrating this expected behaviour to performance enhancement, we ensure that principles such as Quality, Teamwork, Commitment to Professional Development, Dependability, Respect and Maximum Effort - are clear, practiced and monitored. Our values aren't empty words; they are clearly supported, communicated, and associated with expected behaviour.

Professionals with Integrity - who we are
We're proud of our roots. Protegra was started by idealistic technology professionals who did not want to do business in the same, tired old way with its primary emphasis on the bottom line. We wanted to direct our primary focus towards providing real value to our clients, not just pay lip service to this ideal. From our inception our goal has been to deliver with the utmost in professionalism, integrity, skill and honesty - with as little waste as possible. Our technology roots are also reflected in our belief in method and measurability. This belief is passionately shared by all areas in the company, and reflected in everything we do. The very meaning of Protegra indicates this value. Protegra means “Professionals with integrity”.

Lean Thinking- Our Philosophy
Protegra has worked diligently since its inception on the concept of eliminating waste. This applies equally to the goals of waste-free solutions for our clients, our professional practices, and our internal operations. At one point, our philosophy found a happy partner in Lean concepts. ‘Hey, we're already doing that!’, was what we said. Most are aware of Lean in relation to manufacturing, but in reality Lean provides a very general set of principles for methodically examining, eliminating, and measuring waste reduction applicable to any production process - including software and business solutions. Similarly, there are fundamental Lean principles that deal with the problem of waste from the consumer perspective, focusing on and optimizing any end user experience. The principles are very broad, and hard to argue with if you believe in eliminating waste. Whether it's an IT solution or a business process, we seek to optimize all deliverables, and to optimize the client experience, by diligently seeking to focus on value while eliminating waste. We call this Lean Thinking, and we live and breathe this concept every day. It is reflected in everything we do.
